Support Group

We organise Support Groups for Children and Young People in our care. The objective of the support group is to entertain and rejuvenate the children by giving them a memorable experience and relief from the traumatic memories of the difficult and tough situations they had faced before coming into our care.

Here are some of the Support Groups we held:

Return River Cruise Trip |  The children had a chance to get to know more about London Architectures and history related to these while crusing on River Thames. During our stop at Greenwich we had Lunch at a local Restaurant offering delicious Fish & Chips but also other varierty of foods.

Trampoline Park & Nando’s Restaurant | The Trampoline Park consists of large trampolines some with soft foam areas and high diving boards you can jump into. Afterwards we all headed over to Nando’s where everyone enjoyed their food. The children socialised and had a great day out.

Fun Days

Family Fun Day at ‘The Warren’ | The fun activities included a bouncy castle, ball in a bucket stall, hoopla stall, caricatures artist, entertainer, and giant games such as connect 4 snakes and ladders. There was a vast variety of food available to everyone’s taste including a BBQ Truck, Food stalls from various countries and an Ice-Cream Van.

Beach Trip to Margate | A lovely and relaxing day for Children in our care, Foster familes and the Shining Stars Team as the ambience of coastal waters and wonderful atmosphere of the occasion would not permit otherwise. We offered variety of packed lunches.

What do Children in our care say?

What if I have a problem or I am sad?

If you are worried, frightened or sad you must tell someone. There are lots of ways  you can tell people and lots of people you can tell about what ever is bothering you.

You can tell adults you trust
